When you think of a cruise, is your mind filled with the ample opportunities for rest and relaxation? But what about when you don’t want to sit around and do nothing? If you’re looking for a more active travel experience aboard a ship, then you’ll want to take a closer look at what Virgin Voyages can offer you.
The cruise line just released a colourful new music video showcasing what life is like on board one of their ships. Directed by creative visionary Jonas Åkerlund, the video centres around a modern adaptation of Culture Club’s karaoke classic Karma Chameleon performed by Drew Love from hit band THEY.

The video, taking you on a 24-hour journey, follows real-life cruisers and crew as they show you what it’s like to experience all the activities and attractions Virgin Voyages has to offer. Amongst many other treats, the video shows you the fun of being on board an adults-only cruise.
With the video also marking 40 years since Boy George first performed the track, originally released by Virgin Records back in 1983, it’s an extra special way to launch their 2023 brand campaign – Now We’re Voyaging.
“We have won the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of sailors who have fallen in love with Virgin Voyages because we created an experience everybody could love,” said Virgin Voyages chief brand officer Nathan Rosenberg.
“As we continue to showcase our ships to the world, we wanted to share what it’s like on board based on what our sailors have told us and shared on social. It features real crew as well and is a celebration of travel and Voyaging. The Voyage music video shows this in such a unique and relatable way, from a quiet and restorative feeling to a dreamy, curious and energetic state.”

This year, Virgin Voyages will take delivery of Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady, its final two ships (for now at least), which will take its fleet to four alongside Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady.
Just take a few minutes to watch the video and, before you know it, you’ll be singing along and ready to get on board your own Virgin Voyages cruise!
